The Beginner’s Guide to Property Management has been designed and written by industry experts and sets out the multiple aspects of the complex role, which the Government has indicated will soon be regulated.

REINZ chief executive Bindi Norwell says that as the industry changes, managers need to be able to keep up to date with all the relevant rules and regulations. They also need to be able to clearly communicate with both tenants and landlords; this skill will be embedded within all components of the course.

“It all comes down to good communication and that’s something we have stressed right throughout the five modules, which make up the course,” points out Norwell.

“Recently there have been a number of legislative amendments and reforms to tenancy law including the Healthy Homes standards and the new Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2020. This has meant that landlords and property managers have had to continuously keep up with these changes, so to support the wider industry, we’ve put a lot of thought into ensuring these changes are covered in the course,” she continues.

Beginner’s Guide to Property Management has been designed by experts in the industry, and takes the form of an easy-to-use guide, which property managers can digest at their own pace, with a quiz at the end.

It can also be used by managers as a great induction course for beginners new to their team.
